The Fox News Network demonstrated its staunch credibility once again as crackpot Sean Hannity aired footage on his show of hordes of people getting together to protest the health care bill, while a lot of that footage was actually from a completely different event, and the Washington Post’s estimate of the actual reported event’s attendance numbers was considerably more modest than the inflated figures thrown up by Hannity’s spin machine.
The fumble-up was caught by Jon Stewart’s crew and they did a segment on it, which is a pretty hilarious clip. The following night Sean Hannity admitted that they “screwed up,” but claimed that it was unintentional – as if anyone’s going to buy that.

The sad thing is that its viewers will not only buy that, but they’ll use Comedy Central’s report as proof that comedy itself is a liberal threat to our country.
