New Mexico hotel owner Larry Whitten has come under fire for asking his switchboard workers of foreign descent to use “Americanized” versions of their names when interacting with patrons. He also asked them to speak English in his presence. Apparently some employees were terminated due to their refusal to comply with Whitten’s requests.
